This section will take a closer pragmatic look at Mystery Babylon and how it is
relevant in modern times. A comparative analysis of two
significant Biblical temptations will be presented as well as
the links between them, in particular, Satan, Cain, Historical Babylon,
Mystery Babylon and the "world".
Satan has an edge over humans in
that he is very subtle and understands human nature as it
relates to human behavior, better than humans themselves.
However, by learning the wiles (the investigative method and
deceitful plans) of the devil, to know what Satan knows
(Ephesians 6:11), gives the believer the advantage.
The god of this “world” (2
Corinthians 4:4; Matthew 4:8; Ephesians 2:2), who is Satan, was
the first non-human murderer (John 8:4). He facilitated the
first immediate spiritual death (murder) of Adam and Eve
(Genesis 3:4) and the beginning of their physical death (Genesis
3:22). He was the progenitor of sin who not only misguided Eve,
who then convinced her husband, but misguided Cain, the first
human murderer (Genesis 4:7-8). Satan’s plan and method that he
employed in the beginning would continue to follow along these
same lines throughout history.
John the Revelator gave deeper
insight into Satan’s ploy when he defined the “world” in his
first epistle (see Chart 1.1 below). He boldly wrote that if
one loves the “world” (and not his brother) it causes (if you
follow his extrapolation) said lover of the “world” to be an
“antichrist” (1 John 2:15-18, 29; 3:7-8, 10, 16-17). But herein
lies Satan’s subtle and crafty plan, which when understood is
quite remarkable, yet obviously sinister. Satan’s plan seems
quite innocent and logically justified by those who are “drunk"
with its “intoxicating effect” and have fallen prey to his
wiles, but actually it is extremely evil and destructive. The
net result of his plan causes people to unknowingly become
subjects of Satan’s kingdom, of whom Satan is the chief of
antichrists. In this same manner, people will remain entrapped
in the end-times and will find themselves unable to wrestle free
from Satan’s stranglehold.

of Overcoming
Romans 12:2
Hebrews 3:12-14
Psalms 119:11
Lust of
the eyes
(cravings of materialism, etc.)
Satan
brought her to see the fruit and that is was pleasing to
the eye
Satan
showed Mashia all kingdoms and splendor and offered to
give control of it to Mashia if he would bow the knee to
Satan
By
remembering by faith and by behavior that YHVH and his
word is above all, is priority and is the only source of
true life and happiness.
Lust of
the flesh
(cravings of sinful carnality)
Satan
convinced Eve that the forbidden fruit was good for food
Satan
urged Mashia to turn stones into bread to satisfy
carnal hunger
By
serving YHVH only, not carnal cravings, i.e., food, drink,
immoral sex, etc., etc. and overcoming Satan by YHVH’s
word.
Pride of
life
(boastings or thoughts of what a person is, has or does)
Satan
convinced Eve that the forbidden fruit was desirable for
gaining wisdom
Satan
urged Mashia to throw himself down to prove his
prestigious position and test YHVH.
By not
testing (rebel, provoke, quarrel) YHVH (Psalms 78:17-18;
Hebrews 3:8, 15; Exodus 17:1-5) and overcoming Satan by
YHVH’s word. It is a sign of unbelief, self
exaltation, an attempt to diminish, minimize the power of
YHVH (Psalms 78:41-42) when one exalts his/hers own power.
Of
course the Biblical record of the temptations (above) are
written in a more obvious and blatant form than is often
experienced in human reality. Usually it is more subtle with
each individual experience otherwise it would not be much of a
temptation. The individual weaknesses and applied temptations
to them have many variations and nuances. However, the
underlying composition of each temptation and the yielding
thereof is fundamentally the same, as described by John the
Revelator. The same is true with how each believer must
overcome each temptation.
John’s teachings came from the heart throb of YHVH, who judged
Israel because they, too, fell prey to this same evil and
Satanic tactics. Satan’s subtle plan was to seduce Israel into
becoming materialistic and self-centered. They forgot that in
loving YHVH they must not neglect HIS most vulnerable children,
i.e., the fatherless (orphans), the widows in their affliction,
the poor, the stranger (foreigner) and the maltreated (Isaiah
1:15-18, 21, 23; 3:14-15). This loss of sensitivity played out
in reality by their neglect of observing the three-year tithe
that was to replenish and keep the “storehouses” (which was not
the temple or synagogue) full. The storehouse was much like a
granary and treasury situated in each town that would help and
support YHVH’s most vulnerable. It was basically a charity
center (Deuteronomy 14:28-29; Malachi 3:8-10). Apostle James
also touched on this subject in his writings (James 1:27; 2:8,
15). Therefore, in the mouth of two or three witnesses, a
matter is established. In other words, this principal is not a
whimsical idea that can be accepted or rejected nonchalantly.
It is a principle truth extremely close to the heart of YHVH.
It is a matter of being with or against Christ (Mashia), it is
not optional. It is the proof of belonging to YHVH, the proof
of discipleship (John 13:35; 1 John 3:16-17).
It is true that YHVH cannot be
tempted (James 1:13) by sin or evil, but he can be tested (Massah)
or quarreled against (Meribah) (Hebrews 3:8-15; Exodus 17:1-7;
Deuteronomy 6:16; Psalms 78:18, 41, 56; 106:14 ). The believer
must be aware of what subtle thoughts and behaviors are in fact
antimashia (rebellious or testing against Mashia). And, it is
quite clear from scripture that the seduction of materialism and
its underling composition (lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh
and the pride of life) is a matter of grave consideration. It
is difficult for the self to comprehend early stages of
inebriation and once started, the seduction lures one deeper and
deeper into drunkenness where one loses nearly all sense of
doing right. The church has fallen into this seduction of
wanting “it all” and wanting it now, at nearly any cost, the
greatest cost being the neglect and maltreatment of YHVH dearest
of children.
It is a sad day when carnal people
do more for their fellow man than the “Christian” community does
for their fellow brothers and sisters in Mashia. This can and
will only lead to damnation. People must arise, awake out of
slumber and get out of Mystery Babylon before it is too late.
Her destruction is just around the corner. When the early
church was fresh and deeply in LOVE with YHVH, they willing and
liberally attended to the third-year tithe. In the New
Testament, the third-year tithe is often referred to as alms.
Regular tithing was obsolete since the Mosaic Covenant had
expired.
Unfortunately, most funds that come
into “churches” these days are spent on lavish unnecessary mega
church compounds (or spent striving to make it one), related
unnecessary salaries, and huge compensations to pastors. Very
little is given as alms to fellow believers who are in need of
it most. This problem has reached cataclysmic proportions such
that the fear of YHVH must fall upon the “churches” of wealthy
nations and a call to repentance must ring out loud and clear,
lest judgment soon fall upon all those who do not.
Keep in mind that John was not
writing to sinners, but to believers. Reflecting backwards,
what we do know is that Israel (Old Testament believers) had run
amuck in Isaiah’s day and had become a “spiritual Babylon” and
by doing so, God had them taken by Historical Babylon into
captivity and punished them by Babylon. If you are going to be
like Babylon, you might as well live in her. This leads to an
additional question relative to this subject that must be
asked. Are there any links between Cain, the “world”,
historical Babylon (Jeremiah 51), Mystery Babylon (Revelation
17-19) and charity? It certainly appears that there are some
links and they are as follows:
Chart 1.2

used her to punish Israel because Israel forgot YHVH’s
children and became self absorbed (self exalted).
She will
bring down those who love not the truth and do not come out
of her (2 Thessalonians 2:11; Revelation 18:4).
Satan is
the spiritual captor of all who are seduced by his wiles.

avoid plagues and destruction (Revelation 18:4).
Satan
will be destroyed forever and ever in the end.
Cain’s
city was destroyed forever by the flood.
She was
destroyed forever.
She will
be destroyed forever prior to the end.
The important links relative to
Mystery Babylon that need to capture your attention are as
follows taken from the chart above.
1.All blood shed
(murders) from the beginning are found in her.
2.She is the mother of
all cities.
3.She is the mother of
all prostitutes.
4.She is the mother of
all whores.
5.All commerce,
agriculture, etc. is found in her.
6.Believers are found in
her.
First, there is no physical city on
earth that comes even close to this description unless one looks
at it spiritually or abstractly. It would have to be a city
that predated the flood, all the way back to Cain, the first
city builder. And, if you believe that the flood in the Bible
destroyed all people and cities except for Noah and his family
in the Ark, then even Cain’s city (Enoch) was destroyed too, the
one he built east of Eden, east of the Tigris (which would be in
modern day Iran). Interestingly, the two-horned lamb is
indicative of Iran or its Iranian leader (or Ayatollah) which is
the home of the world’s first city.
It is also
interesting to note that the Eighth head of the Beast and the
Two-Horned Lamb (the beast’s cohort) will destroy Mystery
Babylon since the Beast hates Mystery Babylon. Mystery implies
something hidden to be revealed and John the Revelator gave us
hints as to the identity of this Mystery Babylon that rode atop
the seven heads (empires), the seven crowns (kings) and their
zeniths (hills). This Mystery Babylon is the “world” as
identified by John (1 John 2:15-17), in particular the "world"
or “cities” (commerce, materialism, etc., the results of the
three underpinning elements of the "world"). Why? The “world”
(not a particular physical city) is responsible for all murders,
shed blood, cities, prostitutes, whores, commerce, agriculture,
false gods, idolatry, religious heresy, etc., etc. And
John's definition of the “world” precedes his extrapolated
discussion of “antichrist”, which is the contrast between lovers
of the “world” and lovers of our fellow believers (the children
of YHVH). Satan is the progenitor and spiritual ruler of the
“world” and YHVH is the progenitor and spiritual ruler of the
“kingdom of YHVH”.
Satan, however, has miscalculated
how the last head (Eighth Head) will hate his “great city”, the
“world” and will destroy her. Sure this prostitute has ridden
atop all previous seven world empires, but the last empire
(resurrected from the first five) will either knowingly or
unwittingly destroy Satan’s Great Prostitute once and for all
due to the last’s Empires hatred for what Satan has established
on the planet. This will be the LORD's doing, perhaps
similar to how YHVH used Pharaoh as a vessel of dishonor to
accomplish HIS plan.
And practically speaking, believers
are in the "world" (Mystery Babylon), else John would not have
written about this to saints, in two of his books (1 John 2:15-17 and
Revelation 18:4). Unfortunately, most believers are too “drunk”
on her (the world's) delicacies to know or understand that they are dwelling
in Mystery Babylon. But unless one exits her, then they will
suffer with her. COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE.
This feature book (Eschatological
Epistemology) challenges the traditional points of view of
Christian eschatology (prophecy). More often than not, answers to mysteries are
solved by first asking the right questions. And more often than
not, the information that answers said questions is available.
Therefore, asking the right questions coupled with diligent
research will unveil the secrets of a mystery, especially as it
relates to Bible prophecy. This is the
essence of wisdom—knowing how to apply existing knowledge
(information).
